Detroit area rapper and C.E.O of Ydot ENT, Yung Khan continues an unrelenting march towards Hip/Hop world domination. At 6’5” his towering presence is surpassed only by his lyrical prowess and smooth vocals.
The son of a former singer (mother) and producer (father), Y.K (Y dot K) was surrounded by music at an early age. Surprisingly, he did not start seriously recording until age 19. After suffering through several disappointing college basketball campaigns, he rediscovered his love of music and invested in his own studio to build his craft.
2009 marked a prolific assault on the music world with the release of 3 mixtapes and over 100 recordings. His first mixtape entitled “2012” marked the debut of a raw but talented artist. Energized by a very supportive and growing fan base he worked diligently to release his second mixtape entitled “Mortal Khanbat”.
It unveiled a fresh newly refined style and unique character. The success of “Mortal Khanbat” spread rapidly across social networking sites like Facebook/MySpace and produced more than 5000 downloads on Datpiff.
“Prozed & Khan” is his 3rd and by far finest mixtape. Released on October 31, 2009 this was surely no Trick. Yung Khan definitely treats fans to many great songs with varying musical styles and influences. Initial fan response has been very positive worldwide for his two single releases “Number Two” and “Drop It 2 The Floor”.
Yung Khan is currently performing at local Detroit area venues and producing tracks for his next mixtape “I-KHAN” set to be released May 2010.
